Heavy Duty Brackets & Components

Heavy duty steel parts, manufactured to your specification.

At CS Fabrication, we manufacture custom heavy duty brackets, mounting plates and mild steel parts to your drawings. Whether you need a single piece, a set of matching parts or a larger production run, our laser cutting service allows each item to be produced to the dimensions and fixing details required for the job.

We work with contractors, fabricators and manufacturers who need steel parts made for a particular application rather than an off the shelf solution. Material grade, plate thickness, quantities and any critical dimensions are reviewed before manufacture begins.

Made for the job

A standard bracket or steel part will not always suit the connection, fixing pattern or space available. Custom manufacture gives you control over the size and shape of the part so it can be produced around the assembly it needs to fit.

This is useful when replacing an existing component, working around established metalwork or producing parts for a new design.

We can manufacture to the details shown in your specification, including:

  • Overall dimensions and cut profile
  • Hole sizes, spacing and fixing positions
  • Material grade and plate thickness
  • Critical dimensions and tolerances

We review the complete part before manufacture so the profile, openings and key dimensions work together as specified.

Laser cut mild steel components

Our laser cutting service is used to produce flat steel profiles, mounting plates, brackets and other custom cut parts directly from the required design.

Profiles, holes, slots and other openings can be cut as part of the same process, helping maintain consistency from one piece to the next. This makes laser cutting suitable for individual parts as well as batches where each item needs to match.

We work with mild steel in a range of thicknesses, including 10 mm plate. The material, thickness and shape of the part are considered together before the cutting specification is confirmed.

Completed parts can then be supplied for use within a wider fabrication, installation or assembly, giving contractors and manufacturers the steel items they need for work being completed in house or on site.

From one off parts to production runs

Not every project requires the same quantity.

You may need a single replacement bracket, several matching plates for an installation or a larger batch for ongoing production. We can manufacture individual pieces, small batches and larger production runs depending on the job.

For repeat work, manufacturing from the same approved specification helps keep dimensions, profiles and fixing positions consistent from one batch to the next.

Quantities, material requirements and delivery needs can all be reviewed when the job is quoted.

Finishing options

Powder coating is available where parts require a coated finish before installation or assembly. Colour, appearance and intended use can all be considered when specifying the finish.

Where parts will undergo further fabrication or finishing after delivery, this can also be taken into account before manufacture. This means they can be supplied in the condition required for the next stage of the job.

Heavy Duty Brackets & Components FAQs

1What information do you need to quote for heavy duty brackets and components?
A drawing or CAD file should show the dimensions and details required for manufacture. We will also need the material grade, plate thickness, quantity and any critical tolerances or finishing requirements. For orders covering several different parts, drawing references and quantities for each item will help us prepare an accurate quotation.
2How are specified tolerances handled?
Any critical dimensions should be clearly identified, particularly where the part needs to fit an existing assembly or align with other fabricated items. We will review the tolerances against the material, thickness and cutting process before confirming manufacture.
3What steel grades and plate thicknesses can you work with?
We can review the specified steel grade and plate thickness as part of the quotation. Suitability depends on the complete part, including its profile, dimensions and any detailed cutting requirements, so we assess the full specification before confirming the job.
4Is it possible to produce one component before a larger production run?
Individual parts can be manufactured where a project requires an initial piece before moving to a larger quantity. Let us know the expected production quantity when requesting a quote so both the initial and repeat requirements can be considered together.
5How do repeat batches work?
Repeat batches can be manufactured to an agreed drawing or specification. The current drawing revision should be provided with each order, along with the quantity required and details of any changes to the material, dimensions or finish.
